Want an affordable day trip to see the Grand Canyon from Sedona? Embark on a journey that begins amid the unique red‐rock buttes of Sedona then winds through the lush and picturesque Oak Creek Canyon filled with dazzling cliffs and waterfalls. Arrive at the east entrance of the Grand Canyon to spend your day at some of the most famed spots for breathtaking vistas and exploration of the Grand Canyon. The day is filled with scenic overlooks and short walks to incredible photo opportunities before returning back to Sedona in the late afternoon.
On this ~9 hour day tour you'll see some of the South Rim's most iconic viewpoints, including Mather Point, Desert View Watchtower, Lipan Point and the Grand Canyon Village. You'll see where the canyon unfolds in jagged ridges and streaks of beautiful colors. Peer over the edge, watch ravens drift on canyon thermals, and take in the sheer scale carved by the Colorado River over millennia. There's time to walk the rim, snap incredible photos, or pause and absorb the quiet immensity, feeling the tranquility that only the Grand Canyon can offer. Some of the stops involve optional walks of around 1/2 to 3/4 miles to viewpoints. You will also be able to relax for ~90 minutes at the Grand Canyon village on your own where you visit the Hopi House, Kolb Studio, gift shops or take in the views through telescopes.
You'll be comfortable in an air-conditioned 15 passenger transit van with large windows and high ceilings. Throughout the trip, a knowledgeable guide shares the region's stories—from Indigenous heritage and geologic wonders to hidden history along the route. As the journey returns to Sedona in the late afternoon light, you'll carry a sense of awe and fulfillment that only a day at the canyon can inspire.

Yes, scheduled restroom stops are available at designated locations like the Cameron Trading Post and Grand Canyon Village. These are also great spots to stretch the legs or purchase interesting indigenous items and souvenirs.

How long is the drive to the grand canyon?
Typically the drive is a little over 2 hours from Sedona to the east entrance of the Grand Canyon national park. We will also stop along the way for restrooms and sightseeing which add to this time. This allows ~3-4 hours to explore various sites at the Grand Canyon.
